“Develop and engage in the collaborative and social aspects of writing processes.”

Throughout the course, we learned how important collaboration and teamwork is in the engineering field. In assignments like the engineering proposal, we collectively worked on a document to persuade our target audience to authorize and give funding to a project we proposed to solve a problem within their interest. We also utilized communication in this class to review others’ work and comment on it. For instance, we used the discussion board in Blackboard to reply to others posts and we used peer reviews to give feedback on others’ work (Figure 1).
